Wansuela Suerte Has Died

The Hanoverian mare Wansuela Suerte with whom Hubertus Schmidt won team gold at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 as well as the European Championship in Hagen in 2005 and the World Equestrian Games of Aachen in 2006 has died at age 22. The chestnut mare by Warkant/Wachmann I was owned by Joanne Stoudenmier and lived at her owner’s yard in Wellington. She had been retired from the sport in 2008.
