British show-jumper Tim Stockdale has fractured his collar bone while testing a new horse. Now he will have to take a three week break. The rider told Horse & Hound: “I knew I had fractured my collar bone within 30 seconds since I was so sore and I had difficulty moving my arm. But I was lucky that the horse did not roll over me.” Currently Stockdale has his arm supported in a sling and hopes to be back competing in six week’s time. The break is not too bad, it is a clear fracture. Therefore the bone only has to be stabilized.
