Canadian show jumper Tiffany Foster has announced that Southwind VDL will be retired. The Baloubet du Rouet son, currently 17 years old, will enjoy his retirement in the pastures at Irish Carmon Hanley’s stable. Hanley, who lives in Germany, and the gelding started their international career in 2008. In 2011 the pair won the Nations Cup in La Baule, then the horse went to Tiffany Foster. Foster and Southwind VDL were placed second at their first event, the CSIO5* in Calgary. Now they finished their last competition in Spruce Meadows in fifth place.
