Spanish dressage rider Severo Jurado Lopez will have to do without his championship horse Deep Impact in the future. The Hanoverian gelding, previously owned by Andreas Helgstrand, was sold to Charlotte Jorst from the USA. The Danish has already bought several horses from Helgstrand. The 15-year-old De Niro son once was the present for the 40th Birthday of Helgstrand’s wife, but she never competed the horse. Then the horse was with Robert Acs in Hungary, before that he was ridden by Fiona Bigwood and Anders Dahl.
Since Marianne Helgstrand never competed Deep Impact Severo Jurado Lopez took over the ride of the horse. The pair was part of the team at the European Championships in Gothenburg and was placed twelfth in the individual rating of the freestyle. They also attended this year’s World Equestrian Games in Tryon.
