Spanish rider Morgan Barbancon Mestre has taken over the ride of Nadine Capellmann’s top horse Girasol, so eurodressage.com announced. Capellmann told the online page: “She is a wonderful horse and has everything one can ask of a horse at this level. For me it was love at first sight. Unfortunately, during the last five years we weren’t able to consistently show our connection in the arena. I have ridden her with great enthusiasm every day. Lately, I asked myself if I could imagine Girasol with another rider. It has been a difficult decision, but I wish the young Spanish team rider Morgan Barbancon all the very best and much success with Girasol.”
The new rider told eurodressage.com that today she was the happiest girl in the world. “Let’s start to new adventures with this beautiful red-haired diva.” Barbancon said.
In 2010, Girasol came to the Grand Prix sport with Jasmin Schaudt. There, Capellmann noticed the Wurttemberger mare and bought her. Capellmann and Girasol achieved many successes in the Grand Prix, but also had some lows.
