Nadine Capellmann’s Former Top Horse Gracioso Has Died

Gracioso by Grundstein I, the horse with whom Nadine Capellmann celebrated her first big successes lived to the age of 31. In 1997 the pair won gold at the European Championships, more medals at World and European Championships followed. The Westphalian gelding, who enjoyed a long retirement at Capellmann’s stable in W├╝rselen now had to be put to sleep due to a colic. “He will always have a special place in my memory,” so the rider said. “He leaves a large empty space in our stable and we will miss him very much.”
