Just as every year the withdrawals for the World Cup Final are starting to come in. Yesterday it became known that German Christian Ahlmann will not compete in Paris since his horses are injured and now Swiss rider Beat Mändli has confirmed that he will not attend. However, his reasons are different. He currently is in the U.S., where he qualified for the Final in the World Cup league east, but he shies away from the logistical effort, so he told the Pferdewoche. He said he had good memories of Paris Bery and the arena, but this year’s focus for him were the World Equestrian Games, even though it had been a tough decision.
