Markus Brinkmann has become a late addition to the German B Squad of the Show-jumpers. The 36-year-old rider from Herford and Holsteiner gelding Pikeur Dylon are getting more and more successful and have focused on the World Cup Final in Omaha. Brinkmann is one of the few show-jumpers in the big sport who is not a professional rider – his main occupation is being CEO in his family’s own clothing company Bugatti, who owns the equestrian sport brand Pikeur. Brinkmann and the 10-year-old Dylon by Diamant de Semilly/Carry were placed tenth at their five-star debut in Stuttgart and fifth in Leipzig and Bordeaux. The rider from Herford has collected 31 World Cup points and is currently in rank 23. In order to be placed among the top 18 he would need to get some more points at the last stage of the series in Gothenburg.
