Leipzig: Surprise for Simon Delestre

“I myself was surprised how fast Chadino was today,” said Simon Delestre after his success at the Championship in Leipzig. The French rider and the Chacco Blue offspring won the main competition in a jump-off where every hundredth of a second counted. Even though the top results were all within a small margin in the end the Mercedes Benz CLA 180 Shooting Brake went to Simon Delestre. Second place went to British Scott Brash with 10-year-old stallion Hello M’Lord. “I actually wanted to ride as fast as possible,” Brash said after the competition “but my horse is still unexperienced. I think he will be a great horse for the future.” Third place went to Andreas Kreuzer (GER) who led the competition for a long time and his 11-year-old Quick Jumper by Quidam’s Rubin. Kreuzer then took the chance to talk with Delestre about his horse Chadino since Kreuzer rode the horse when he was only seven years old. “Even then you could feel that Chadino had an immense jumping abilities and it is nice to see how well he has developed. Simon is simply a top rider.”
