Karl Cox’ Chalino Z Has Died at London Event

A sad event just for Belgian showjumper Karel Cox just before Christmas: his 8-year-old horse Chalino Z has died during the London International Horse Show. Yesterday, the Chippendale Z son and his rider participated in a 1,45m competition and had a fence down. During this mistake the Zangersheide gelding sustained a wound. The rider had Chalino examined by a veterinarian, who injected him with medication to reduce the risk of inflammation. After the injection, the 8-year-old gelding died. The horse was brought to an university hospital for an autopsy.
