Supposedly there will be some news about horse sales in the next days since the deadline for the Olympic Games will end on January 15 (as yet the deadline was 31 December of the previous year). Only if a horse is owned by a country the horse can compete for this country. However, eurodressage.com announced some unexpected news: Valentina Truppa’s Eremo Del Castegno has been sold to Dr. Jorge Ferreira da Rocha, in Brazil. The 14-year-old Italian gelding and his Italian rider were the absolute top team of their country and had a real symbiosis. In 2010, they had their international Grand Prix debut, a great career followed. In 2011 and 2013 they attended the European Championships, in 2012 they had their highlight at the Olympic Games in London, where they finished in 15th place in the Freestyle. Last year they competed at the World Championship in Caen. The pair had many fans and continuously thrilled the audience.
70-year-old Jorge Ferreira Da Rocha now wants to qualify for the Olympic Games with Eremo del Castegno.
