Many were speechless after the test of Isabell Werth (GER) and her chestnut mare Bella Rose. The two were the second to go for Germany in the Aachen’s Nations Cup. In the test were two mistakes, but it was also a test that made the rider euphoric – and not only her. “The last centerline felt like a 12″, Werth explained. “What a horse!” They showed mistakes in the two-tempis and the half-passes, but this were – as the rider said “peanuts, just coordination problems, nothing that has to do with uncertainty. I wanted to much and Bella Rose took it.” Werth and Bella Rose got standing ovations in the Deutsche Bank stadium – and there is no doubt that with Bella Rose Werth has a horse that can climb on the top of the world. “I switch between laughing and tears of joy”, Werth told full of emotion. “I’m deeply moved. She is my number one and the best horse I’ve ever ridden. Perhaps she is even the best horse the international scene has to offer.” For their test the couple received 79,580 percent – without the mistakes it would have been far more than 80 percent.
