Holger Wulschner Withdraws From World Cup Final – Martin Fuchs Moves Up

Show-jumper Holger Wulschner (Klein Belitz) has to withdraw from attending the World Cup Final in Omaha (USA). His gelding BSC Skipper suffers from an infection in his hoof. According to team veterinarian Jan Hein Swagemakers the abscess will not be healed in time for the Final.
“I would have loved to start in Omaha, but Skipper’s health is more important,” so Wulschner said. The 53-year-old had foregone the journey to the spring tour in Spain in order to attend the qualifications of the Western Europe League. It would have been his second start at a World Cup Final, he was the second best German rider and had collected 43 points.
Swiss rider Martin Fuchs will move up to take Wulschner’s place.
