Gold for the Netherlands and Germany at the European Championship in Arezzo

Anna-Christina Abbelen and the nine years old Fuerst on Tour showed an impressing performance at the Championship of the juniors in Arezzo. The couple achieved 78.447 percent in the individual score occupying the top position and leaving behind the others. Alexandrea Gamlenshaug Andresen (NOR) and Belamour, a son of Belissimo, won silver (75.763). Jeanine Nekeman (NED) and the KWPN gelding Vlingh finished third (73.684).

The fight for the gold medal in the individual score of the Young Riders was also a clear decision. Anne Meulendijks (NED) and the nine years old gelding President’s MDH Avanti won achieving 77.237 percent. Germany won the second and third place. Lisa-Maria Klössinger, Ulla Salzgeber’s student, and the gelding FBW Daktari won silver achieving 74.526 percent being slightly better than her colleague Sönke Rothenberger with his only seven years old horse Cosmo (74.500 percent).
