Lisa Nooren already won a world ranking show jumping competition last year and she also achieved some other top placements. Now the only 19-year-old rider from the Netherlands won the Grand Prix with 10-year-old stallion VDL Groep Sabech d’ha by Qredo de Paulstra. Henk Nooren’s daughter was 2 seconds faster then last year’s winner Cameron Hanley (IRL) and 9-year-old KWPN gelding Cas. Third place went to French Nicolas Deseuzes with Topaze Latour.
The winner knew: “sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.” As yet she didn’t have a car – that’s why she was pleased to be able to drive home with a star. Nooren has known Sabech d’Ha for a while now, to be precise for four years. “We’re a good team and we trust each other,” sie said. That’s why she could risk so much in the jump off. Hanley also was content to win second place:” Cas hasn’t had so fast rounds yet; I knew it would be hard to beat the time. I’m very happy with my horse.”
