Cian O’Connor’s Lady Cracotte Has Died

What a tragic accident at the event in Montpellier this weekend: Cian O’Connor’s 10-year-old mare Lady Cracotte by Quaprice/Galoubet A, whose ride he just took over from Niels Burynseels at the beginning of the month, has died. While the mare was being groomed she was startled, panicked and fell over the cross ties. “Life can be so cruel sometimes, ” so Irish Cian O’Connor said. “The only consolation is that “Cracky” did not have to suffer.”
Lady Crocette and Belgian Niels Bruynseels won the five-star Grand Prix of Waregem at the end of September and competitions in Aachen, Rome and Valkenswaard.
