Britsh-Irish Transfer

British show-jumper William Funnell has sold one the horses he bred who is a future talent to Irish show-jumper Darragh Kenny. Billy Dorito, a 7-year-old son of Billy Mexico, who was placed third at this year’s national championship of the young horses will spend the winter season with Kenny in Wellington, Florida, where he will be prepared for a big future. William Funnel told Horse & Hound that he was sure that Billy Dorito would become a Grand Prix horse, perhaps even a championship horse. “I would have liked to see Billy Dorito compete for the UK in the future,” so the breeder and previous owner. “But good young horses belong in the hands of top riders. When you breed such a horse you want it to explore its maximum potential and Darragh is a world class rider.”
