13-year-old Oldenburger stallion Armitages Boy has been sold to Stephex Stables. The Armitage son, as yet cometed by French Aymeric de Ponnat, who achieved numerous top placements, attended various Nations Cups and was placed eleventh at the European Championships in Herning was supposed to be sold last year. Ponnat’s co-owners wanted to sell the horse and the horse was presented at an auction in September 2015, but it wasn’t sold. Then fans tried to save the horse for Ponnat via crowd-funding, but that also didn’t work. Now Stephex Stables has bought the horse, he will be ridden by Italian De Luca in the future.
