German show-jumper Simone Blum and only 10-year-old DSP mare Alice are the high achievers of the season. After their German Champion title, a second place at the Longines Global Champions Tour Berlin, the nomination as reserve rider for Gothenburg and the victory in the CSI5* in Lausanne, the pair now won the prestigious Mercedes German Master during their debut in Stuttgart. Only twelve riders qualified for the German Master, in the end Blum won ahead of Swedish Henrik von Eckermann and 15-year-old Cantinero by Cento. Third place went to Marcus Ehning (GER) and Christy.
“I can’t believe it,” the winner said, amazed. “The whole Season just became better and better.” After their competition in Stuttgart her 10-year-old mare will get a three month break. The World Cup season is not an issue for the pair, Blum said, since the Askari daughter was not an indoor horse. However, in Stuttgart it seemed to be different. The day before she had already won the qualification for the German Master.
