World Championships Fifth-Placed Horse to Philipp Dutton

7-year-old Selle Francais mare California d’Horset will be ridden by Philip Dutton, who won bronze in Rio, in the future. The mare by Soliman was ridden to place five at the World Championship of the young eventing horses by her owner Yannick Dirou (FRA) in Le Lion d’Angers. The US-American takes over the mare’s ride with immediate effect. Dirou told L’Eperon: “With some sadness, but a lot of pride, I have to announce that California d’Horset will be developed by highly successful American Philip Dutton.” Dirou hopes that the horse will take root in the international sport just as her half-sister Tacoma d’Horset, who was placed fourth at the WEG in Tryon under Japanese Kazuma Tomoto.
