After his recovery: Steffen Peters wins in Verden

In Aachen US-American Steffen Peters already wanted to ride on German ground again. However, a pneumonia forced him to prefer a stay in hospital. Now the popular rider has recovered and won together with Legolas in the Grand Prix of Verden. Peters and the twelve year old gelding achieved 74.980 percent. And yet two judges didn’t see both in the leading position. One judge saw Kathleen Raine, Peter’s team member, who came in seventh, in front of all others. Another judge saw Inessa Merkulova from Russia on top of the others. She finally was given the ninth place. Crazy world of dressage! David Marcus with Chrevi’s Capital from Canada came in second (72.300 percent). Dorothee Schmeider and Silvano finished third ( 71.920 percent).
