After her success in the Grand Prix of the I-Tour at the CHIO Aachen, Isabell Werth said that her hopes were on Bella Rose when it comes to the horse for the WEG in Tryon. And that stays the same after the Special, which the number one in the world and the Westphalian mare won by a clear margin with 80,149 percent. However, so Werth said, she had to discuss her wish with the dressage committee. The Belissimo M daughter was more compact than in the Grand Prix, the extended trot and the pirouettes were better. The halfpasses were -just as in the Grand Prix- exceptional. However, in the two-times flying changes they had a mistake.
Werth said it was now the jockey’s job to do it better, but that they improved each day. She added she was happy with the mare who did not want to do something wrong.
She also analysed the piaffe problem of Emilio: “I have to admit I was too focused on Bella. I am sorry for Emilio. The curb was too harsh. Today I used a smaller one and everything worked well.”
Second place in the Grand Prix Special went to Jessica von Bredow-Werndl with Zaire-E with by a clear margin – they received 72,702 percent. Third place went to Danish BEttina Jaeger with Mane Stream Belastaff (71,340 percent).
