Japan has already saved a full team of horses for the Olympic Games, but apparently that wasn’t enough. Now Wolfram Wittig’s Westphalian stallion Bertoli W also moves to Japan, to be precise to Kuranoko Saito. The Breitling son once finished ninth at the World Championships in Verden and fourth in Verden at the National Championships with Brigitte Wittig. When he was six years old, he was placed seventh at the World Championship. Then Wolfram Wittig took over his ride and developed the horse to Grand Prix level. The new owner of the horse is one of Wittig’s pupils, that should simplify the work the new pair still has to do when it comes to a possible attendance in Rio.
