Patrice Delaveau & Orient Express

Break for Orient Express Due to Virus

In autumn last year Patrice Delaveau’s top horse Orient express had to take a break which lasted more than six months. In March the 14-year-old French stallion had his comeback in Cagnes-sur-Mer and when he was placed fifth at the Global Champions Tour in Antwerpen he seemed to be back for good. However, in the middle of May in La Baule┬áhe had three fences down, which puzzled the audience. Now Delaveau has reavealed the reason: Orient Express has contracted a virus. He wants to be back competing the horse in Rotterdam, where the last qualification for Rio for the French show jumpers takes place. Orient Express is already back in training.
