Tinne Vilhelmsono Silfvén: Relaxed Approach to Victory

The Grand Prix in the Aachen arena already ensured plenty of excitement – so also did the freestyle. The 15,000 Euro prize money and the victory in the Aachen Grand Prix went to Swedish Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén, who had placed second yesterday. With her Hanoverian Don Auriello she achieved a strong 82,475 percent. “We showed a good performance and my horse was very relaxed,” the 47-year-old rider told. “I think that was the most important thing.” Isabell Werth this time had to let the victory pass. She and Don Johnson FRH won second place with 81,200 percent. “Of course it’s a pity if one has to yield the victory so close to the end, ” Werth said, “but I’m content. Don Johnson is on the right track and has showed constancy at the World Equestrian Festival.”
The youngest of all participants, Sönke Rothenberger (GER), showed a strong freestyle. He finished his Aachen debut with Rheinlander gelding Favourit (previously Swedish Tinne Vilhelmson’s ride) in third place with 77,375 percent. “If someone had told me before that I would come off that well in my first competition in Aachen I probably wouldn’t have believed him.”
