Montender Has Died

KWPN stallion Montender by Contender/Burggraaf h as died at age 24. Once Montender was the top horse of German Marco Kutscher, The pair won individual and team gold at the 2003 EC in San Patrignano as well as individual and team bronze at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and the German championship. Montender also was a sought-after sire. Some of his offspring’s impressive achievements: Tokyo of the Sun won this year’s Nations Cup in Rome, Monte Bellini won the five-star Grand Prix of Rotterdam and Messenger was placed second in the Grand Prix of Wiesbaden and won the national championship when he was six years old. Montender has sired many more successful horses.
