Sonke Rothenberger and Cosmo: Narrow defeat at Grand Prix Debut

What a great Grand Prix debut for Sönke Rothenberger and Cosmo: 77,140 percent and only defeated by a narrow margin by Isabell Werth and routinier Don Johnson (77,240 percent). The Hessian dressage rider took the step to the Grand Prix with the only 8-year-old KWPN gelding by Van Gogh at the Peterhof Dressage Gala and was able to show off immediately. “He felt sensational,” the second place winner said. Rothenberger had performed first and Werth accepted the challenge in Perl-Borg. “I only thought: the spring chicken should not overdo it,” so the winner told.
Third place went to Swedish Patrik Kittel and Oldenburg gelding Delaunay by Dr. Doolittle and 73,600 percent. All three of them will also compete in the Grand Prix Freestyle.
