At the London International Horse Show last weekend, British Scott Brash retired his horse Ursula XII. The 17-year-old mare is now supposed to start a breeding career. The Scottish bred horse by Ahorn/Papageno had a fairytale career. In 2016 she was the horse to win the most prize money – she won the Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows. One year later she won the Grand Prix of Doha, this year the pair won the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Mexico. Over her career, the mare had numerous top placements in the “biggest” Grand Prix in the world.
In London Brash thanked his exceptional horse. He said he would like to thank Ursula herself, not only for her talent and all the successes, but also for being such lovely, incredible horse that made his life easier and that the mare was leaving all with memories they would have for the rest of their lives. He added that they would miss her.
