About a year ago Citizenguard Taalex came from Constant van Paesschen to Gregory Wathelet’s stable. The Belgian and the 12-year-old DSP stallion were able to celebrate many top level successes. But now the Tangelo be Zuuthoeve again gets a new rider: Rodrigo Pessoa. The Brazilian will present the horse in Wellington for the first time. However, Alain Van Campenhout from Citizenguard explained that their cooperation with Wathelet would continue; the decision had been taken together with Wathelet. Taalex will already be relocated to the US now so that he has enough time to get acclimated. His first event there will be Wellington. Meanwhile, Wathelet has secured a new ride: Iphigeneia de Muze by Erco van’t Roosakker. Half of the 8-year-old Belgian mare’s share has been bought by Wathelet’s investors, who want to secure him a chance for the 2018 World Equestrian Games. The mare has already been in Wathelet’s stable since February.
