Marcus Ehning & Comme Il faut

Paderborn: Grand Prix for Ehning

It was Marcus Ehining’s weekend in Paderborn: Yesterday he won the championship with Funky Fred and today he won the Grand Prix with Comme Il Faut, which he had already won last year.  Hans-Dieter Dreher and Berlinda finished in second place. Ehning said: ” I saw Hansi Dreher and his performance was really good. Comme Il Faut made it easy for me, but that is when you have to concentrate as a rider not to make any mistakes.” The Westphalian stallion by Cornet Obolensky was bred by Ludger Beerbaum, but Ehning said that Comme Il Faut was “too small, fortunately”. “I think he has just the right rider now,” so the winner said and laughed.
Hansi Dreher is also very lucky to have Berlinda: the mare has been with him for only three months – “and she is a dream horse,” the rider from Eimeldingen said. Toni Haßmann and Bien-Aimee De La Lionne finished in third place.
The Grand Prix was one of the stages of the DKB Riders Tour currently led by Austrian Christian Rhomberg before the Final in Munich. Philip Rüping currently ranks second an Jens Baackmann third.
