Hanoverian gelding Weltall has died aged 24. In 2004 the Weltmeyer son won Olympic team gold. Weltall had a colic and could not be saved.
Once Weltall was discovered by Martin Schaudt at the Hanoverian elite auction in 1988. Later they set world records: in 2003 80,92 percent in the Grand Prix Special and one year later in the Special 82,56 percent. Next to Olympic gold they also won gold at the 2004 German Championships as well as bronze at the German Championships in 2005.
In 2007 Schaudt sold Weltall to the Meggle family. The horse was no longer competed internationally, but Dieter Laugks presented him in national events.
