The Dutch foundation “Nederlands Olympiade Paard” (N.O.P) has composed a team of four new horses for the Olympic Games in Rio: VDL Group Zidane, Emerald, Glock’s Cognac Champblanc and the eventing horse Concrex Bayro. All of them will now have a suffix N.O.P.
VDL Group Zidane and Leopold van Asten won the championship last year. They were also best pair at the CHIO in Rotterdam and the Nations Cup in Falsterbo. Glock’s Cognac Champblanc was placed fourth under Gerco Schröder this year in Basel and attended the World Cup Final in Las Vegas in 2015. Emerald will compete at the World Cup Final in Gothenburg under Harrie Smolders. They have collected many successes. And Concrex Bayro is one of the most talented eventing horses that exist. Last year, Tim Lips presented the 10-year-old gelding for the first time in a four-star competition.
