Over 80 Percent in the Special: Matthias Rath to Compete at the European Championships

Additionally, Fabienne Lütkemeier with D’Agostino, Hubertus Schmidt with Imperio, and Sanneke Rothenberger with Deveraux OLD were put down for the long list.
“I was very content with the performance of our riders at the CDIO. We have two team members above 80 percent, while Kristina Sprehe certainly is somewhat ahead of the others”, German equipe chef Monica Theodorescu said.
In the Grand Prix Special Matthias Rath and the black stallion Totilas achieved 80,093 percent. Despite a flaw in his performance, the Kronberger was content: “Toto today was very energetic and the piaffe and passage were even better than in the Grand Prix. As expected, the victory in the Grand Prix Freestyle went to Kristina Bröring-Sprehe and Desperados FRH with a top result of 87,575 percent. Isabell Werth and Don Johnson FRH (82,775 percent) finished in second place, third place went to Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Unee BB (82,450 percent).
Ullrich Kasselmann, host of the Hagener CDIO, came to a positive conclusion concerning the event: “We were able to see extraordinary performances and although it has been the third major equestrian event within weeks we were pleased to have such a knowledgeable audience here, who supported the riders a great deal.”
