Kristina Sprehe on Her Way to Title Defence

As expected Kristina Sprehe and Desperados dominated the events at the German Championship at Balve. Without the not longer existing pair Helen Langehanenberg/Damon Hill as well as the pairs Matthias Rath /Totilas and Isabell Werth/Bella Rose, who did not attend, Sprehe was unrivalled. She was the only competitor to break the 80 percent mark. Second place went to Isabell Werth with Don Johnson FRH, who achieved 78,160 percent. World Cup third Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and KWPN stallion Unee BB finished third with 76,840 percent. Anabel Balkenhol and Dablino made fourth place with 76,040 percent while Hubertus Schmidt and Imperio after a strong performance finished in fifth place. In comparison, the performance of European Champion and World Champion Fabienne Lütkemeier and D’Agostino FRH, which resulted in sixth place (74,840 percent) was certainly disappointing. Another rider who also might not be content with their result is Ulla Salzgeber, who achieved 73,800 points with Herzruf’s Erbe and therefore won seventh place together with Dorothee Schneider and Ullrich Equine’s St. Emilion (also 73,800 percent).
