No European Championship and no Nations Cups for Casall Ask

Together with the sponsors and owners of the horse Rolf-Göran Begtsson has decided not to compete with Casall Ask at the European Championship in Aachen and that he also will not compete in Nations Cup competitions. The reason for this decision is that Casall Ask meanwhile is 16 years old and has competed at three major championships already: the Olympic Games in London, the European Championships in Herning and the Word Equestrian Games in the Normandy. At the European Championship in Herning Casall Ask won team bronze, individually he finished in fourth place. At the World Equestrian Games he also finished fourth place individually. A championship is always a demanding task for every horse and it takes up to two and a half month for the horse to recover, so owner and rider -keeping the horse’s age in mind- reached the decision not to compete with him in championships any longer. They believe the horse will stay happier and more healthy for a longer time. Instead they want to focus on the overall title in the Longines Global Champions Tour. The competitions are more gentle for Casall Ask, there he can jump one small class the first day, have a day off and then compete in the Grand Prix. Unita Ask and Clarimo Ask will be prepared for the European Championship in Aachen.
