Just recently it became known that Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli will leave the Ashford Farm, Belgium, in order to open their own business. Now Zanotelli’s successor has been announced: 22-year-old Irish Jonathan Gordon will begin working for the Ashford farm on October 1st. Gordon, a member of the International Young Riders Academy, has been at Manfred Marschall’s stable in Germany for the last years and was quite successful. This year, he got hold of a starting place at the CHIO Aachen and was able to get some good placements in show jumping competitions.
Jonathan Gordon said the decision was a hard one to make. He and the Marschall family already had an almost familiar relationship. Enda Carroll, owner of the Ashford Farm hopes that the young talent will provide her stable with a great leap forward in the sport.
