Jessia Mendoza’s Ramiro Dies From Colic

Jessica Mendoza’s (GBR) 16-year-old horse Ramiro de Belle Vue by Mozard des Hayettes has died. After an eye surgery the Belgian Stallion developed a colic, from which he did not recover. Mendoza took over Ramiro’s ride in 2013 and since then the pair has won many international show-jumping competitions. The pair was always one of the fastest in the area. “I could not have had better years with him,” the rider says on Facebook. “He took me from winning my first Global Tour to winning my first Derby and car. The most cheeky and cheerful character who always will keep a special place in my heart. Thank you for everything and sweet dreams little man.”
