Janne-Friederike Meyer & Buettner's Minimax

Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann Proud Winner of the Championship Donaueschingen

Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (GER) has reason to be proud of her 8-year-old Hanoverian gelding Buettner’s Minimax. Even though he is still very young he was able to convince not only his rider the last two weekends: Last week in his first big competition in Paderborn the horse finished second and this week he won the championship in Donaueschingen by a clear margin. “I was looking forward to the jump-off,” Meyer-Zimmermann said. “He galloped in the big arena as if it was his pasture.”
Rolf Moormann, bronze winner of the German Championship and his mare Samba de Janeiro, a Stolzenberg daughter, who already did some five-star competitions over the last few weeks finished in second place. “She has learned so much over the last weeks,” the rider said. “She feels as if she were eight but she is ten. She only came to the sport when she was seven because she was a brood mare before.”
Dutch Marc Houtzager and 8-year-old KWPN gelding Edinus by Paradinus were placed third. “It was his first 1,50m competition,” Houtzager said. “I think he is a very good horse for the future. He came to me when he was six and he almost always stays clear.”
