Only last weekend Isabell Werth and 9-year-old gelding QC Flamboyant won the final of the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal in the Frankfurter Festhalle and now the Fidertanz/De Niro son has been sold. To be more precise: he had already been sold before the final. In the future he will be ridden by young German rider Valentina Pistner. “Flambi”, so the gelding was called in Werth’s stable won the National Championship in 2013 and was in the final of the 2014 World Championship of the young dressage horses. In 2014 he was placed fourth at the National Championship under Martia Pundsack. In 2014 he came to Werth’s stable. Only this year Werth herself took over the ride of the Oldenburger. In Donaueschingen they had more than 80 percent and therefore qualified for the final of the Burg-Pokal. Owner Patrick d’Eer told eurodressage.com that it was not easy to sell such a horse, especially when Isabell rode it, but that it would be better to jump that train before it was too late.
