Ingrid Klimke: Rectum Surgery

Current team Olympic winner Ingrid Klimke is out for a few weeks. The eventing rider, who repeatedly also competes in dressage events, had to undergo surgery of the rectum due to an acute inflammation. The surgery was done at the Raphaelsklinik in Münster by chief physician Dr. Erik Allemeyer, who also will take over the aftercare together with DOKR team physician Dr. Manfre Giensch. Klimke hopes to be discharged from hospital on Friday, then she will have to take a three to four week break from riding.
