For many this was a suprise, but he had only agreed to do the job for one year: Hugo Simon has resigned as consultant to the show jumping department of the Austrian Equestrian Federation, so the OEPS announced. During the SCIO in Linz-Ebelsberg the native German announced his decision to resign from his 16 months engagement. Sports director Franz Kager said: “It was a spontaneous and personal decision that we have to take note of. It’s a pity, Hugo with his great experience has been a tremendous help to our department for the last one and a half years. He was one of our consultants at the European Championship in Aachen and also highly successful with Max Kühner at the World Cup Final.”
The Austrian show jumping department will now deal with the show jumping sports concerns with Franz Kager (coordinator), Marcus Wallishauser (Chef d’Équipe) and Anton Marin Bauer .
