Grandioso Fit for the Olympics

The Spanish dressage team has reason to be happy: Grandioso has been cleared by the vet to attend the Olympic Games, so dressage-news announced. Jose Daniel Martion Dockx’  17-year-old P.R.E stallion had to undergo a 10 week treatment due to a small split in a tendon. If Grandioso had not recovered just in time he would have been retired  from the sport. Now he will be competed in Aachen in July where the Spanish squad will be nominated. After some weeks in an aqua trainer and three weeks of training under the saddle the horse felt 100 percent fit, so the rider said.
Considering results Grandioso and Jose Daniel Martion Dockx are listed second afer Beatriz Ferrer-Salat and Delgado in the Spanish team.
