Gold for German pony dressage rider

The FEI European Championships for Ponies take place in Millstreet, Ireland, this week. The firstĀ battle for medals was the team championships in dressage and once again it was the German team who couldĀ bring gold home – the 29th time in history. Only eight times it didn’t work out with the first place. But this year Germany won with 225.333 percent leaving behind Great Britain with 222,256 percent and the Dutch team with 216,667 percent. Winner of the competition individual was the German Semmieke Rothenberger with her top pony Deinhard B (78,410 percent). She was it, too, who pulled the chestnuts out of the fire for Germany and managed to keep the small lead until the end. German federal coach Cornelia Endres said: “Semmie was totally cool and she hadn’t missed any points.”
