Dutch show-jumper Gert-Jan Bruggink will have to take a six week break – according to Hippisch Twente he has a fractured leg. Bruggink fell from a horse, he said, because he had been unfocused for a moment. When his horse bucked out of joy it came down in an unfortunate position and Bruggink fell. The Dutch from Weerselo had to undergo surgery and now will have to pause for some weeks. His wife Pia-Luise Aufrecht will train the horses together with assistant instructor Dairmuid Howley. Globalequestriannews wishes him a speedy recovery.
