GCT and GCL Lose Court Dispute

The Global Champions Tour and Global Champions League have suffered a defeat in court – a Belgian competition tribunal has decided that both series have to adhere to the same rules as other events. The specifics are the invitations issued to riders. According to the FEI rules, 60 percent of the participants have to be chosen according to the world ranking, 20 percent by the national federation and 20 percent by the hosts. In the past the GCT and GCL had invited more than 20 percent of the participants.
