FRH Butts Leon Will Be Retired in Luhmühlen

German eventing rider Andreas Dibowski has decided to retire Butts Leon in Luhmühlen this year. “Meanwhile, Leon is 18 years old and he deserves to be retired while he is still healthy,” Dibowski said. “He has taken part in the eventing sport for twelve years now and has been successful in almost all famous arenas in the world. He is the most successful horse of my career, he has the most successes at four star level – that creates a strong bond. Now he will enjoy his active retirement at the yard of his owners Susanne and Holger Heigel.” For the riding instructor it is definite that Leon will be sent into retirement as part of the international eventing competition in Luhmühlen: “The victory in the four star level competition in 2011 was a great moment and Leon’s biggest success. It is an appropriate environment for his last lap of honour in front of his home audience.”
