French Dressage Riders Without Team for Tryon

The French Equestrian Federation announced today that they will send no team to the World Equestrian Games in North Carolina. This was a surprise since the federation had nominated the maximum amount of pairs (eight). The nominated pairs were Alexandre Ayache with Zo What, Morgan Barbancon Mestre with Sir Donnerhall II OLD (the Spanish rider changed nationalities after the World Cup final in Paris), Marie Emilie Bretenoux and Quartz of Jazz, Barbara Clement Klinger with Dirbini, Bertrand Liegard with Star Wars, ARnaud Serre with Ultrablue de Massa, Anne Sophie Serre with Vistoso de Massa and Pierre Volla with Badina Altena.
The federation only issued one sentence: “Despite unparalleled efforts from all sides the French Equestrian Federation will not send a dressage team to the World Equestrian Games in Tryon in September.” An explanation was not given.
