Rothenberger Family says Farewell to Deinhard B

Top pony Deinhard B has died. Last weekend, the pony stallion underwent surgery due to a colic, from which he did not recover. The Rothenberger family now says farewell to the 16-year-old exceptional palomino. Deinhard B’s international career started under Anna von Negri. They were double European champions. In 2006, Sönke Rothenberger took over the ride of the smart Rheinlander – they won the European Championships several times. In 2010, Lena Charlotte Walterscheidt and “Deini” won medals at the European Championships, then Semmieke Rothenberger took over the ride of the pony. They also had a meteoric career – in 2013, at the Future Champions Deinhard B was the first pony to crack the 80 percent mark. After winning team gold  as well as individual silver and bronze in 2013 in 2014 they won triple gold in Ireland. In total, Deinhard B won ten gold medals and therfore trumped his father Dornik B as most successful dressage pony ever.
Semmieke Rothenberger says goodbye on the family’s home page: ” A big part of my heart is missing, the part you always filled…. Deini, you were so unique and selfless. You will always be in our hearts.”
