EC Horse Cantinero Back at Henrik von Eckermann’s Yard

Henrik von Eckermann has reason to be pleased: Cantinero, the horse he rode at last year’s European Championships is back in his stable. The 14-year-old gelding, owned by Qatar Armed Forces, had been injured in February and had to take a break. When the Swedish show jumper left Ludger Beerbaum’s stable in September to start his own business it seemed as if the pair had no future. Now, however, the winner of the 2015 Grand Prix of Rome is back with Henrik von Eckermann. “The owners said that they wished for the horse to come to my new stable,” so the rider told World of Showjumping. “I’m very happy to have him here but we will take it day by day with him. At the moment he looks good and we are of course hoping for a full recovery.”
