US rider Catherine Haddad-Staller has been without a sponsor since 2009 and therefore already had to sell her top horse Winyamaro, with whom she had taken part at the Word Equestrian Games Kentucky and the finals of the World Cup in Leipzipg in 2011. Her current Grand Prix horse Hotmail, who Haddad-Staller had discovered in Denmark in 2012 and then had brought to the US, was also offered for sale in autumn of 2014. Buyers from Europe as well as the US were interested in the horse. The rider, however, wanted the horse to stay in the US and therefore called Rowan O’Riley who supports various dressage projects in the US. O’Riley was interested and now it became known that she bought the 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding for Catherine Haddad-Staller. O’Riley gave the horse the additional name “Mane Stream” in order to display her support for the therapy programme her daughter (suffering from infantile cerebral paralysis) takes part in. The goals for the horse now are the qualification for the World Cup Finals in Las Vegas as well as participation at the Olympic Games of 2016 in Rio.
